GovSummit Is Returning to the Nation’s Capital This December: Here Are 5 Reasons to Attend

GovSummit is returning to the nation’s capital on Thursday, December 14. We’re thrilled to bring together innovative public sector leaders for this free, industry-leading event. Registration is now open! Join us as we demonstrate how you can deliver on the nation’s cyber strategy with Splunk.

GovSummit is Splunk’s largest, free annual event focused on providing public sector leaders insights into the latest cybersecurity trends and how agencies are mobilizing to meet challenges like implementing zero trust. We will not offer GovSummit virtually this year; this will be an in-person event only.

Invited speakers hail from Federal, State, Local and University organizations and several private sector companies focused on cyber security, data protection, and cloud computing and storage.

Top 5 Reasons to Attend GovSummit

We’re putting the finishing touches on the agenda, but here are a few reasons why you don’t want to miss this year’s event.

1. Must-See Keynotes

The only constant is change, and this year has been no exception. Political conflict, new mandates, increasingly complex digital systems and intensifying cyberattacks challenge you to stay safe and resilient while delivering on your mission.

Now more than ever, we need to work together to deliver on the nation’s cyber strategy and keep our nation’s digital systems reliable, trustworthy and secure. Join Splunk executives like CEO Gary Steele to hear Splunk’s vision to catalyze digital resilience with purpose-built AI and unified security — and how leaders are already succeeding.

2. Information-Packed General Sessions

You'll hear firsthand from government and industry experts about how agencies are adapting and thriving — and building digital resilience to improve their cyber strategy. Event topics will include:

  • Simplifying cybersecurity in a complex digital world
  • Utilizing artificial intelligence
  • Forging public-private partnerships
  • Building a cyber workforce
  • Keeping pace with new requirements like the National Cyber Strategy (NCS) and OMB Memorandum M-21-31

3. Inspiring Breakouts and Thought Leadership

Get guidance on how other public sector leaders are using innovative technologies to keep our nation safe. Topics include simplifying cybersecurity in a complex digital world, forging public-private partnerships, building a cyber workforce and more. Register for GovSummit and we will contact you when breakout session registration opens.

4. In-Person Networking

Network with your peers over breakfast, lunch and an afternoon reception. Exchange valuable insights and build collaborative relationships with other senior government officials, thought leaders and decision-makers.

5. Hands-On Learning Opportunities

Last year, GovSummit attendees had the chance to fly a drone through a timed obstacle course course. Learn about AI, including how adversaries use it, and attend a workshop session on how you can use Splunk AI to defend against threats. We’re creating thoughtful and engaging ways to expand on your skills this year.

We can’t wait to see you there. Please contact us at GovSummit@splunk.com with any questions.
